Skippy is in the Shop!

On Sunday we maneuvered the old girl around the driveway and pushed her into the shop.  The Cub Cadet was barely up for the task, but we got it done.  I like that she's a "small" truck, but that illusion is gone now that's she's inside.  Over the next couple of days we'll get her up on jack stands, remove the wheels, and strip off any unnecessary accessories in order to more fully assess what we're working with.  The immediate goal is to see what she will need to get running.  The chassis is in really great shape and a more comprehensive look under the cab floor mats brought a welcomed surprise - the floor is not completely rotted out, as we had assumed during the field inspections!  Most of the air and fluid lines appear original - and copper.  Oil and tranny fluid look clean and relatively new and the radiator is holding fluid, too.  All good signs.   Stay tuned and in the mean time, enjoy these pictures from "night one". https://sjcreativevt.p
